Woodfired Dog with Flowers A51790 Massive tenons connect the seatsThis ceramic sculpture is modeled after Cathy Broski's own beloved dog Porter, who was rescued by Broski's husband on Valentine's Day. It started as a series of hand built clay cones and cylinders; the pose emerged as it was assembled, after which the surfaceinspired by weathered objects and the erosion of the earthwas smoothed then textured. Its glaze is a result of its atmospheric kiln firing over multiple days, and the accompanying flowers were
