Constructed of gilded silver with multi coloured enamels, consisting of a Maltese Cross with white enameled arms joined through the quadrants by stylized rays, the obverse bearing a central red enameled medallion overlaid by a Reuss coat of arms, the reverse bearing a central black enameled medallion overlaid by a monogram of Prince
