A General Assault Badge, Late-War Example, by Rudolf Karneth & Söhne consisting of a blue enamelled Romanian Cross with clusters of nine gilt rays in eac First Half of Nineteenth Century(Allgemeines Sturmabzeichen). Constructed of silvered zink, the obverse consisting of an oval oak leaf wreath, surrounding a central Heer style German national eagle clutching a mobile swastika, situated above a crossed bayonet and stick grenade, the reverse with a ball hinge and vertical pinback meeting a round wire catch, unmarked but demonstrating the characteristics of manufacture by Rudolf Karneth & Shne, Gablonz, measuring 42. 50 mm (w) x 54. 22
