A First War Air Force Cross, Miniature Hold seven blue enameled star armsIn silver, "GRI" monogram (King George V) above the date "1918" on the reverse, measuring 21. 5 mm (w) x 26. 5 mm inclusive of its integral ring, original post 1919 ribbon, extremely fine. Footnote: The Air Force Cross was awarded to officers and warrant officers of the Royal Air Force. It was instituted in 1918, for gallantry on non operational missions and for meritorious service on flying duties.
