Instituted on 12 June 1792 by Friedrich Wilhelm II. (Issued 1854 1918). A four pointed silver star composed of multiple individual rays, obverse with a cross patte enameled in white, with two golden swords crossed through the central medallion, the obverse central disc bears a red eagle on a white enamel background, surrounded by a white enamelled ring bearing the motto SINCERE ET CONSTANTER, adorned with separately applied gilded
