Germany, Imperial. An Observer’s Badge, c. 1919 GTRexclude hallmarked with a boar's head(Beobachterabzeichen). Constructed of silvered brass with multi coloured enamels, the obverse consisting of an oval laurel and oak leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by ribbon, topped by a German State Crown, and bearing a central enameled medallion situated on a radiant field, the reverse with a barrel hinge situated above a strike plate, with a vertical pinback meeting a flattened and rounded catch, unmarked, measuring 44. 23 mm (w) x 72. 36
